Kara received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and has since been practicing as a Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Kara is trained in EMDR, Sand Play Therapy, DIR, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and meditations for brain health. She provides services both in-person and virtually.
Through various somatic trainings, and personal experience in utilizing these modalities over the last decade, Kara's goal as a therapist is to offer compassionate understanding, as well as share the various tools that she has acquired along the way to support you in self-regulation, healing, growth, and empowerment.
Her clinical experience includes working with trauma survivors struggling with post-traumatic stress, those navigating chronic pain/challenging medical diagnoses, individuals on the Autism Spectrum, and those looking for support in working through their insecure attachment styles developed as a child, that are playing out in their adult relationships.
Kara treats individuals of all ages and backgrounds, presenting with a need for support in areas including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, and navigating various life transitions.
